Susac-Syndrom
Das Susac-Syndrom ist eine seltene, autoimmun vermittelte Erkrankung der kleinen Arterien im Gehirn, in der Retina und im Innenohr. Es betrifft vorwiegend junge Frauen und muss differentialdiagnostisch von der Multiplen Sklerose abgegrenzt werden. Die Erforschung widmet sich dem Verlauf, der Diagnostik, der Pathogenese und der Therapie der Erkrankung. Das European Susac Consortium (EUSAC) dient der interdisziplinären Vernetzung europäischer Ärztinnen und Ärzte zur Verbesserung der Behandlung des Susac-Syndroms.
